What happens when you use a non-sulfate shampoo be used with a conditioner that has sulfates?

I purchased Giovanni shampoo and conditioner but each different, the shampoo is 50:50 hydrating shampoo and the conditioner is triple threat tea tree oil. I thought both were non-sulfate but looks like the aren’t. Is this bad?
I’m thinking to buy a conditioner that matches the shampoo.. They were on sale and not sure the mathcing one was on sale…

Sulfates don’t actually harm your hair so much as they do the environment. They are the ingredients that create the lather. It is alcohol in any of its forms that will strip your hair of color or dry it out.

While matching your shampoo to your conditioner can enhance the benefits they provide, not matching them won’t really harm your hair. It seems like the tea tree oil would be better served in a shampoo than in a conditioner, since it is more of a cleanser/antibacterial agent than a conditioning agent, but all you will experience is a little less moisture, maybe a little more frizziness, than you would if you were to match your shampoo. Sulfates or no, won’t make a difference.
