What snack & condiments foods to buy organic?

I know about the “dirty dozen”. But i’m wondering about say, for instance our favorite snack…chips and salsa. Does that need to be organic? And then what condiments, if any, need to be organic? We’re slowly working our way into a more natural/organic lifestyle so i’m getting as much advice as i can along the way. Thanks!

My family as well has slowly transitioned into organic diet. Organic diet is as far as you want to take it! There are great organic grocery stores like Earthfare.

These are the things that I have learned!

When it comes to fruit and vegetables. It only needs to be organic if you eat it with the skin/peel on. If not then you don’t have to worry about it being organic!

All your meats should be organic.

All your dairy products should be organic!

So some of your condiments should be organic if it has different vegetables and dairy products.

We have yet to do the cereal, because we have kids!

But, I have started going to the organic grocery store and you can make your own peanut butter fresh! I buy my sugar and flour and cornmeal! You can buy it by the amount you need it! Which I thought was so cool!

But, just because it says it is organic you really need to research the brand! Because, you want to make sure they are doing everything possible for the environment as well! They maybe feeding the cows organic diet that meets FDA regulations, but if they are not doing anything to improve the environment, then whats the purpose!
