Daycare won’t put sunscreen on toddler?

My daycare said they have a new rule and can’t put lotion or sunscreen on the kids. My 3yr old is very fair skin and they won’t put sunscreen on her before playing outside in the texas sun!!! Now she has to stay inside with the babies while her friends play outside because i’m afraid of her burning. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That’s ridiculous!!! I know most daycares just have you sign a form allowing them to do it. I would contact your local state office about this…it sounds like they just don’t want to!!!! I’m really sorry about your little one, that’s awful, but like other posts, i guess just put it on her before you bring her..or you could be obnoxious and put it on her when you get there in front of everyone to make a point!! i would.
